An Intellectual Network For Scholars by Scholars
We are an online community for scholars, researchers, and anyone interested in research, scholarship, and learning who wants intellectual life that feels fun, relational, and still serious.
What we have built is an infrastructure for scholarship made, not out of bricks, but of relationships.
Here, you can meet scholars you might otherwise never encounter, and become part of ideas, projects, and conversations that wouldn't have happened otherwise.
What happens inside Scholar Square?
When you join, you can:
- Join weekly accountability meetings through our in/dependent group
- Work alongside other scholars in weekly study sessions
- Take part in fortnightly Parlour Sessions for informally connecting and conversing with fellow scholars
- Bring questions you have about research and academia to our monthly BYOQ: Bring Your Own Questions sessions
- Build a more social reading life through our Book Club
- Attend guest talks, workshops, and member-led discussions
- Share resources, recommendations, ideas, and opportunities with other scholars, and discover what they’re sharing too
- Get 24/7 access to peer support
- Post questions, reflections, wins, and thoughts from your academic and scholarly journey

- Apply for Scholar Square micro-grants after 12 months of continuous membership
- Join or propose member-led collaborative research projects

Scholarship can be incredibly individualistic, isolating, and competitive.
You can be surrounded by a university and still feel like you're doing the actual work alone.
Scholar Square exists because we think scholars need more than institutions, resources, and professional networks. We need community.
